4 Days In Sri Lanka for first timers

Sri Lanka, the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, is an island nation brimming with ancient ruins, lush landscapes, vibrant culture, and exquisite cuisine. Follow this guide to help you explore Sri Lanka on foot over the course of two days, from the ancient city of Anuradhapura and the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, to the golden beaches of the south coast and the verdant tea plantations of the hill country — with plenty of stops for spicy curries and cultural immersion along the way.
In my time exploring here, I have been captivated by the diverse and evolving culinary scene. Moving beyond basic beachside bites, Sri Lanka’s dining experiences have blossomed with innovative restaurants that elevate traditional dishes, reimagine local ingredients, and infuse street food favorites with gourmet flair. This has made the island one of my favorite places for food—though not so much for my waistline..

Day 4: Discovering Sri Lanka’s Best Food Experience
